Chocolate Dripped Duo

I was about to purchase my pen right now as my first one broke (actually the cap broke so it made the product look green and I got rid of it), but after reading review after a review I realized I’m not gonna do it now in hopes that the company does listen and change the packaging as it does break super fast. I am sorry.

PLEASE CHANGE THE CAP! I will have to use my brow pencil for now.

I genuinely love the look this pen creates — it’s natural, buildable, and one of the better freckle products I’ve tried.

However, I’ve repurchased this multiple times and experienced the same issue: the cap does not close securely. Because of that, the tip dries out quickly and the product becomes unusable.

After reading other reviews, it seems this may be an ongoing packaging issue. It’s disappointing because the formula itself is great — but the packaging makes it hard to justify repurchasing again.

I would absolutely buy this again if the cap design were improved.

From the other reviews it seems that this has been going on a while. My cap broke about a month after I received the product in November ish and I emailed the team in January and never heard back. Such a shame because this is otherwise a perfect product. This product is what finally made me get the freckle makeup trend. There’s a reason you don’t see Hailey Bieber using this pen anymore and instead using the tarte one…. Just saying.

When I first started using it my freckles looked super unnatural and weird - it took me a minute to get a feel for the product and really just get out of my head so to speak dabbing it the way Rudi does and now I really love it. It makes a full face of makeup feel less “done up” because if you can see freckles then there can’t be that much makeup under there 😂 The color is the product is flattering on my skin tone and I like the application / new packaging. I haven’t experienced any leaking and would def recommend!

Fantastic product is squandered when the lid breaks (and it will). No matter how gentle you are, the plastic lid flexes every time you pop the lid on and off and will eventually develop a tiny crack at the edge, preventing the product from sealing off properly WHICH makes the brown oxidize and turn green.

Hailey Bieber even moved on (she’s been using the Tarte pen).
