As the world we knew it came to a halt, our busy lifestyles had to adjust to a slower pace ๐ŸŒ
Are you now working from home? Are you now juggling work, home-schooling your children, running a household and still trying to maintain your sanity through all of this?
You are not alone.
Even though I might not be working from home, I was still finding it difficult to be productive at home with other projects. So, I decided to do a little investigating.
The question at hand: How to stay productive while working from home?
According to Forbes Magazine, here at a few tips from one of their recent articles: 10 Tips For Mindful Productivity While Working From Home
1. Define your work space- Location, location, location. Create a dedicated space just for work. Avoid working in your bedroom or in front of a TV to maintain focus on the tasks at hand.
2. Create Scaffolding- Establish a defined schedule and stick to it. Some individuals might be more efficient if there is a daily schedule lined up. Setting up this schedule helps you stay accountable in visually seeing what you have accomplished in your day and being able to adjust it accordingly.
3. Unplug and come up for air- This is just a reminder to pause. Part of being productive is to avoid burnout. How can you do this? Go for a walk, eat a snack, stretch or move around. Or simply looking out a window can help clear your mind for a few minutes.

This is so important! I make sure to take some time everyday to go on a longer walk to get some fresh air and to clear my mind. My dogs also appreciate the extra time outdoors ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ

Iโ€™ve been taking mine on longer walks too! And they love it! It definitely helps clear my mind after a long day at work ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’•

I think the one thing that actually sticks for
me is having a separate workplace. I have a desk space and when I walk away it feels like I am leaving โ€œwork modeโ€ behind.

Thatโ€™s great! On the bright side, less of a commute now ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚

I wish I could give you tips on how to expand or make your space grow lol. But maybe keeping your work space to a minimal and getting rid of clutter might help to maximize your space โ˜บ๏ธ

this is what i find to be the most effective rule to have! even before the pandemic, i made sure to only use my bedroom for sleep / rest... and made sure I worked from a designated space so that i can get in that "zone" and mindset for work!
